Current student and Plant Engineering Supervisor

Alisha started Ohio University’s Master of Science in Industrial Systems Engineering with a Specialization in Engineering Management program in January of 2009. She will be graduating in March 2011. She currently holds the position of Plant Engineering Supervisor and has been working full time while getting her masters.

In 2004, she graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology. Alisha is a member of The National Society of Black Engineers, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., Society of Women Engineers, and the United Way Key Club.

When you come into an engineering position, you need a technical background. But to advance in management in engineering, you need to have people management skills to relate to others. This program has allowed me to learn the skills I would learn in an MBA program, and it’s also allowed me to keep my technical knowledge and relate to the technical people I’ll be managing.
