Gary Weckman
Associate Professor Industrial and Systems Engineering Department



Gary R. Weckman, associate professor in the Ohio University online Master of Engineering Management, earned a Ph.D. from University of Cincinnati and an M.E. and B.S. from the University of Louisville, all focusing in Industrial Engineering. His major research interests include occupational safety and health engineering, and intelligent decision support systems utilizing nonlinear modeling with artificial neural networks, forecasting, simulation, and optimization techniques.
Dr. Weckman also earned industry experience as a customer engine maintenance cost manager, an airfoils production control analyst, and a methods engineer at GE Aircraft Engines. He also worked as an industrial engineer at The Trane Company. He is currently a member of these professional organizations: American Society of Safety Engineers, Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS).
