No, currently a master’s-level Engineering Management track is offered as part of the graduate Industrial and Systems Engineering degree. The Russ College of Engineering has received approval to offer the Master of Engineering Management as a distinct degree, and the first intake of students for this program is winter 2011. The university has discontinued admitting students to the current on campus track.

Graduating from an accredited (engineering, math, physical science) program in the U.S. or Canada ensures that the applicant does not need to take the GRE if your GPA was higher than a 3.0.

A maximum of 8 semester credit hours may be transferred from an accredited university. Ohio University is currently transitioning to a semester calendar system in Fall 2012, and the Engineering Management program is the first to move to this calendar beginning immediately.

To be eligible for transfer, courses must be:

Designated as graduate credit at the institution where taken

Letter graded B or better

Earned within the past five years

Applicable toward a graduate degree at the institution where taken

Earned in courses taught by members of that institution’s graduate faculty

In a traditional Engineering Discipline or Engineering Management

Credits requested for transfer cannot have been used to satisfy requirements for completion of another degree. Courses equivalent to those at Ohio University cannot be transferred for credit and also be taken for credit at Ohio University. Credit is not accepted for courses taken by correspondence. Any request for transfer of credit must be recommended by your advisor and departmental graduate committee before final review and acceptance by the dean’s office. No letter grades will appear on the transcript for transferred courses, nor will they be calculated in your GPA.

Only courses counting toward an Ohio University degree are eligible to appear on the Ohio University transcript as transfer credit.

Which courses are considered physical science courses?

Physics, chemistry, astronomy, geology, etc.) are considered physical sciences. Biology will also be accepted. The social sciences (history, geography, economics, anthropology, political science, etc.) will not be accepted.
